Viruses may take over the mammalian cell for reproductions but their nutritional needs are not the same. Like Herpes viruses, Rhinoviruses need a common amino acid - arginine. Deprive cells of this amino acid and replication slows.
How can you deprive your cells of arginine? There are two ways.
